Redsn0w and Greenpois0n Jailbreaks Are Going Open Source iPhone Dev and Chronic Dev Teams Confirmed

Confirmed by both the iPhone Dev Team and the Chronic Dev Team, it would appear as if both the Redsn0w and Greenpois0n jailbreaks are going open source. That is to say that the general public will be able to download the code that makes the above-mentioned jailbreaks possible and modify them to suit their individual needs.

With that said, the best we can say is that the open source code will be available “soon”. That’s according to hacker MuscleNerd in a tweet posted on Saturday.
