Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system hit store shelves in 2012 before the world ends? Quite likely, according to Microsoft’s Dutch team, who leaked a statement at the base of a Windows 7 anniversary press release that translates to the following:
“Furthermore, Microsoft is of course the next version of Windows. But it will take about two years before “Windows 8″ on the market.”
No big surprise here. Many of us already assumed that the next version of Windows would be out in 2012. But it’s certainly nice to have confirmation, even if it isn’t from Steve Ballmer himself!
