Apple iTunes Promo Codes Available For Developers Internationality

Apple Inc. has informed developers that their promo codes can now work in any of the international versions of the iTunes App Store. That means that users in several countries will now be able to redeem applications and games, a feature that has been available in the United States only up until now.

The company issued the following statement:

“Your promo code distribution is no longer limited to U.S. customers. Promo codes in iTunes Connect can now be redeemed by all App Store customers worldwide. Your Team Agent can request 50 codes per version of your app in iTunes Connect and your customers can redeem these codes in any App Store. Many used to bypass the issue by creating U.S. accounts. However, this will no longer be the case.
