Google has updated its Google Earth application for iOS devices to include a few new features such as native support for Retina Display and the popular Ocean Layer, which allows users to explore the oceans of the world from the comfort of their handset. Google Earth for iOS is now up to par with its Android counterpart, which was also updated recently to version 1.1.
According to the official changelog, the following features are now included:
- Native support for iPhone4 and Retina display
- Underwater bathymetry and ocean surface
- Ocean content layer
Version 3.1.0 of Google Earth for iOS is now available for free in the App Store iTunes Link. The application is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad with iOS 3.0 or higher.
