Google announced recently on the Official Google Mobile Blog that its Google Mobile App for BlackBerry has been updated to version 3.8.22. The new version of Google Mobile App for BlackBerry allows users to remotely search for specific messages and items on Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Contacts. Previously, the application only allowed BlackBerry Smartphone owners to search email messages and contacts locally on their devices.
To take advantage of this feature, BlackBerry Smartphone users must download the version 3.8.22 of Google Mobile App for BlackBerry, and sign into their Google Account, which is a one-time step. Once signed in, users can simply type or speak their queries. Additionally, users will not have to sign in when visiting the mobile optimized Google Reader or Google Docs websites.
Google Explains:
“Google takes information security very seriously, so all your Gmail and Google Docs searches are sent over a secure https connection. Your password is never permanently stored on your phone, and your account details are encrypted during transmission.”
Whether you’re looking for an email, a Google Docs item, a contact, or just about anything on the Internet, Google Mobile App for BlackBerry will help you find it easily. To download the application over the air, visit m.google.com/search from your BlackBerry Smartphone.
