Apple iPhone 3G, 3GS Running iOS 4.2.1 Unlock Coming This Sunday

iPhone Dev Team member and popular hacker MuscleNerd has confirmed in a Tweet this morning that both iPhone 3G units and iPhone 3GS units (on all basebands) running Apple’s newly-released iOS 4.2.1 update will be getting an unlock this Sunday at the latest.

Good progress today…everything is on track for updated ultrasn0w by Sunday/Funday at the latest (longer for iPhone4!)

As mentioned in the Tweet, the unlock will arrive with an ultrasn0w update, and users of Apple’s iPhone 4 will have to wait just a bit longer before they can free themselves from AT&T’s death grip.
