Microsoft wants you to know that their Windows Phone 7 platform is quickly expanding. The company has confirmed that over 3,000 applications will be available for Windows Phone 7 by the time the week ends. Making those applications is 15,000 developers, says Microsoft.
“Clearly we’re just getting warmed up,” said Microsoft’s Todd Brix.
There’s a question of imbalance, however. Three thousand applications have been produced by a massive army of fifteen thousand developers? That would suggest that the community really isn’t all that active, but it makes perfect sense. Windows Phone 7 is still brand-spanking-new. Let’s give Microsoft some time and find out just how far they go with this mobile platform.
