Archos announced on Tuesday the introduction of five new different Android 2.2-powered tablets. The new products range in size and features. The tablets have been named after their screen size. For instance, the smallest tablet — the Archos 28 — has a 2.8 display. All of the tablets do not have access to the Android Market. Additionally, no stock Google applications have been pre-installed.
The new tablets are:
- Archos 28 – Priced at just $99.99, the Archos 28 features a resistive 2.8-inch touch screen, a 600MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, accelerometer, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 4GB memory, 3D Open GL.
- Archos 32 – Priced at just $149.99, the Archos 32 features a resistive 3.2-inch touch screen, an 800MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, accelerometer, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 8GB memory, 3D Open GL, composite TV output, and camera capable of shooting 720p video.
- Archos 43 – Priced at just $199.99, the Archos 43 features a resistive 4.3-inch touch screen, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, accelerometer, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 8GB memory, 3D Open GL, MicroSD slot, built-in kickstand, HDMI port, and camera capable of shooting 720p video.
- Archos 70 – The Archos 70 features a capacitive 7-inch touch screen, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, accelerometer, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3D Open GL, MicroSD slot, built-in kickstand, HDMI port, and a front-facing VGA camera. The tablet will be priced at $274.99 for the 8GB model, and $349.99 for the 250GB model.
- Archos 101 – The Archos 101 features a capacitive 10-inch touch screen, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, accelerometer, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3D Open GL, MicroSD slot, built-in kickstand, HDMI port, and a front-facing VGA camera. The tablet will be priced at $299.99 for the 8GB model, and $349.99 for the 16GB model.
