Apple’s essentially relaxed restrictions on their world-famous App Store filled with hundreds of thousands of applications, doors are opening for developers everywhere who are looking to get their previously unallowed applications to a store browsed by millions of individuals on a daily basis.
Case in point: GV Mobile. It’s an application that brings Google Voice into the palms of users, but isn’t made by Google. Apple previously considered Google Voice applications no-go due to the fact that they replicated the iPhones default functionality. Now, the application has been re-submitted to the App Store approval team for review.
Happily, it may actually become available. Not long ago, we mentioned that Apple noted the application might have a good chance of being approved. Will it? We’ll see in a couple of days.
