Motorola Droid X on Verizon Wireless will be upgraded to Android 2.2 (Froyo) in “early September.” The information comes from an official post by a Motorola employee on the Motorola Support Forums in response to Motorola Droid X owners that were complaining about Exchange 2003 email issues on their devices.
The employee states :
“A fix for this will be included in the upgrade to Android 2.2 scheduled for deployment by early September.”
The Android 2.2 updated for the Motorola Droid X was originally said to be released in late August. However, it seems that plans have changed. Additionally, there were some rumors that Android 2.2 was already being rolled out to Motorola Droid X units. We can now discard those claims, as it was probably an initial limited test.
