Apple is likely going to be none too pleased to know that China’s flag-carrying mobile service provider — China Unicom — is ofering in-store jailbreaking for iPhone devices. Seriously.
Chinese publication WeiPhone notes that customers can have their iPhone devices jailbroken (excluding iPhone 4, since it hasn’t yet been released), have their SIM cards trimmed to fit the iPhone’s micro-SIM tray, and even have applications installed.
This is likely going to turn out to be an exceptional service for those who just aren’t confident enough to jailbreak their own devices, and it’s certainly a curious move on China Unicom’s behalf.
What will Apple do?
