At this point, everyone pretty much knows that Palo Alto, HP is working/developing a webOS-powered tablet. There has been no doubt about it since the company acquired Palm. However, the question haunting everyone’s mind is when exactly said webOS tablet will be made available. It’s now beginning to look as if HP is planning to release its first webOS Slate in Q1 2011.
HP Vice President of Personal Systems Group Todd Bradley reportedly revealed the ETA yesterday during an employee meeting. Additionally, he is said to have confirmed that the webOS tablet project is indeed known as “Hurricane.” HP is currently believed to launch tablets with three different operating systems, which include the aforementioned webOS by Palm, Windows 7 by Microsoft, and Android by Google.
We can definitely expect great products from HP at the end this years and beginning of 2011. We’ll have to stay tuned for now.
