San Francisco-based microblogging service Twitter appears to be experimenting with a new “You both follow” feature, which basically allows users to determine which friends or followers they have in common with any of their contacts. In a way, it’s similar to the “Mutual Friends” feature on MySpace and Facebook.
According to tweet sent out by Twitter Engineer Nick Kallen, the feature is being tested on just 10% of Twitter users at the moment. However, the feature has already been captured in the wild by some lucky Twitter users, as seen in the screenshot above.
Let’s do take into account that this feature is just in testing phase right now. It’s unknown whether it will be made available to all Twitter users in the future. It does certainly seem as something the company should have launched a long time ago, given that many other social networking sites already have a similar feature.
