If you were one of the many individuals hanging on for a white iPhone 4, you may want to reconsider your plans. That’s because Apple has released a statement today noting that the devices “have continued to be more challenging to manufacture” than originally expected.
As is typical with California-based Apple, few details accompanied the statement, though the company has made note that the white iPhone 4 devices will make their official debut sometime “later this year”. How’s that for vague?
Here’s the official statement:
“White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.”
More information as it becomes available.
