Apple has officially released iOS 4.1 today at about 1PM Eastern, 10AM Pacific. The update is slated to bring numerous bug fixes, security implementations, and features. Said features include HDR [high dynamic range] photography for iPhone 4, and Game Center, which allows users of both iPhones and iPod Touches to connect with friends/anonymous people and play games.
If you’re one of the lucky few sporting an iPod Touch 4G at the moment, you need not update, as your unit is already loaded with iOS 4.1. The following devices are eligible for the update: iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 2G, and the iPod Touch 3G.
