Adobe Flash Player 10.2 for Android will become available in the Android Market for free on March 18 of this year, which is next Friday. Luckily, several Android-powered smartphones and tablets from various OEMs [original equipment manufacturers] will support the new plugin.
According to Adobe, Flash Player 10.2 will offer the following features:
- Hardware accelerated video presentation for H.264 [Android 3.0.1+ only]
- Deeper integration with the Android browser rendering engine [Android 3.0.1+ only]
- Enhanced performance for the latest smartphones and tablets
- Automatic soft keyboard support
