Skype Limited announced today on the Skype Mobile Blog that the Skype Mobile application, which was initially introduced six months ago for Android and BlackBerry smartphones on the Verizon Wireless network as part of a strategic partnership with the carrier, is being made available to feature phones on the network. The application is based on the BREW platform, and is now available for Verizon Wireless multimedia 3G phones such as the LG enV TOUCH, LG Chocolate Touch, and Samsung Reality.
LG enV TOUCH, LG Chocolate Touch, and Samsung Reality owners must text “SKYPE” to 2255 to receive an OTA download link. Additionally, users can visit the VZW Media Center to get the application.
