South Korean exclusive iPhone 4 carrier KT began taking pre-orders for the device today. South Korean citizens went cuckoo over the new iPhone, as KT reported receiving a whopping 110,000 iPhone 4 pre-orders in the first nine hours.
Now, it’s being reported that KT sold as many as 130,000 iPhone 4 pre-orders in just 13 hours. South Korean citizens were able to pre-order an iPhone 4 through the official KT website or in any of the 2,900 retail stores across the country. More interesting is the fact that many South Koreans were unable to pre-order an iPhone, given that KT servers crashed due to high demand, which is exactly what happened here in the United States.
Simply incredible.
South Koreans can expect to receive their iPhone 4 units sometime in September.
