It’s been a long-awaited feature for those working on a Linux distribution, but it’s finally arrived. The Google Gmail team has announced this week that both video and voice chat on Gmail are now available on Linux.

According to Google, “Voice and video chat for Linux supports Ubuntu and other Debian-based Linux distributions, and RPM support will be coming soon.”
