Google recently announced today on its Google LatLong Blog that its popular Google Earth application is now available for the Apple iPad. Now, iPad users have been able to use the iPhone version of Google Earth since the device was launched, that’s because Apple made it easy for iPhone apps to work on the iPad right out of the box as scaled up versions. The new Google Earth for iPad, however, offers native support, which should improve the overall experience.
The new version of Google Earth for iPad is now available from the iTunes App Store, and should include all the features that its iPhone counterpart has had for a while such as finger gestures to control the different functions. Additionally, iPad users will be able to access all the different layers such as the new road layer.
