Since early this morning, AT&T’s servers have been getting pounded resulting in session timeouts and many anxious customers frustrated with the pre-order/reservation process. If you are looking to reserve the iPhone 4 for pick up at your local Apple Store, this is easily accomplished using the new Apple Store App released today. For some reason, the process is painless and took no more than 2 minutes to reserve an iPhone 4. Here’s how to reserve your iPhone 4:
- Download the new Apple Store app, available for free from the App Store.
- Where it says “Choose a product to reserve”, click on iPhone 4.
- Select either Replace a Phone or Add a New Line.
- You’ll be prompted to verify your phone number, enter the last four digits of your social security number and your billing zip code.
- Select the model (16GB Black or 32GB Black).
That’s it. Within 5 minutes of this process, Apple sent an email confirming the reservation. If you want to avoid lines, then hang in there and keep trying Apple’s site. We’re thinking that eventually things will slow down and you’ll be able to pre-order the iPhone 4 for delivery on June 24th. Other options include pre-ordering from Radio Shack and Best Buy.
