The highly-anticipated follow-up to Apple’s Mac Mini computer has finally made its debut overnight. That’s right, Cupertino has let loose its next version of the Mac Mini, complete with an HDMI port and SD card reader. That’s not all that’s changed, no sir. Apple has completely redesigned the system, giving it a slimmer aluminum shell — reminiscent of that we’re familiar with on the MacBook Pro line.
No more power brick for this beast, as the power supply is now built-in. The computer is available in 2.4Ghz: 320GB or 2.66: 500GB Intel Core 2 Duo configurations priced at $699 and $999. We should mention the latter Mini is actually called the ‘Mac Mini with Snow Leopard Server’.
We’re seeing this thing as a whole lot of people’s new media center.
