The thirty-first of May [Monday] was officially ‘Quit Facebook Day’. Thousands upon thousands of users (about 34,000) had vowed to officially quit the social networking service, amid major privacy concerns.
PC World reports that 31,000 [out of the 450,000,000 users] officially removed their accounts in protest.
But even as Facebook has promised to make ends meet [when it comes to privacy], many are still doubtful. Quite simply, to some, Facebook has become difficult to trust.
Of course, it’s obligatory for me to mention that if you don’t want personal information showing up online, don’t post it! No need for a hissy-fit protest.
