With Orange all set to offer the HTC Hero very shortly, T-Mobile has also gone ahead and reconfirmed the introduction of the 3G phone. There is a small change though, Hero was to be christened G1 Touch but T-Mobile have changed that to T-Mobile G2 Touch.
The 3.2-inch touch smartphone will support 3G HSPA, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth, GPS and will ru on HTC’s lastest Sense UI system.
Orange is offering the Hero free with a two-year contract and T-Mobile has gone a step farther making it available without a charge if the users subscribe for an 18 month plan with £40 per month tarrif.
Across the waters, T-Mobile has different plans for Hero in the US as it has denied added the touch smartphone to its lineage. The American counterpart seems content with myTouch 3G at the moment. [Via]
