Just yesterday, we learned that Verizon Wireless is planning to release the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update for the Motorola Droid sometime next week. Today, the carrier has posted the instructions on how to upgrade the Motorola Droid to the much awaited Android 2.2.
The interesting part, however, is the fact that the update will be mandatory. According to the page, once a Motorola Droid owner is notified of the update, they can either choose to “Install now” or “Install later.” If the latter is chosen, the notification will pop-up every 30 minutes until the update is installed.
Then again, who wouldn’t want to upgrade to a better OS?
Anyway, if you don’t know how to upgrade your Motorola Droid to Android 2.2 [Froyo], visit the Verizon Wireless Support page to find the instructions.
