U.K.-based Vodafone announced today its very first self-branded Android-powered phone called “Vodafone 845.” The device, which is manufactured by Huawei, is set to be released sometime in May running Android 2.1. The Vodafone 845 features a 2.8-inch [240 x 320] QVGA touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 128MB RAM, 512MB storage, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi b/g. The device will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE at 900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA at 900/2100 MHz.
The company has not disclosed the official price or specific release date. No word on whether or not the tiny device will make it to the U.S. sometime in the future. Overall, the phone looks pretty safe in terms of specifications and features. We have yet to see how successful it becomes. For more information about the Vodafone 845, click here.
