Many of us use Gmail as our primary email address and some people like me, check their mails very often, like every few minutes. It would be definitely better if we had a desktop solution for the notifications of new emails.
There are many tools like Gmail Notifier to do the job, but still you can’t write emails or actually read them on your desktop.
GeeMail is a free Adobe AIR-based application tat lets you use Gmail from desktop with the same keyboard shortcuts like you do on the web. You can easily compose new emails offline and send them when connected to the Internet.
The best thing about this application is that you don’t have to configure POP or IMAP settings like other clients. Just login and you’re good to use it!
Highlights:
- No configuration required
- Offline support
- Gmail user-interface
- Cross platform
GeeMail work on Windows, Mac and Linux. Now you can leave your emails for GeeMail, and use your browser just for browsing. You just need to have Adobe AIR to use this application.
