While not specific released date has been announced for the United States, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab is expected to cost between $200 and $400. The device is expected to be sold through carriers at a subsidized price. Samsung is currently said to be in talks with multiple carriers.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Samsung Vice President of Product Strategy Hankil Yoon indicated that the device could sell for between $200 and $300. Although the final price could vary depending on carrier subsidies.
The Korea Times, on the other hand, reports that Samsung President of Mobile Division Shin Jong-kyun stated that the Samsung Galaxy would actually cost between $300 and $400. “It will cost slightly more than the Galaxy S smartphone,” said Shin.
At this point, we can only speculate. However, it’s good to know that the device might not go over $400 — at least, here in the U.S. With that said, is anyone planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy Tab?
