Verizon will begin distributing build FRG22D of Android 2.2 (Froyo) over the air [OTA] for the original Motorola Droid as soon as tomorrow, according to an image of the Verizon Wireless intranet obtained by Droid Life. The OTA update, which will be sized at 1.6MB, will finally allow Motorola Droid owners to download the official version of Flash Player 10.1 from the Android Market. It will also contain a few security improvements.
Build FRG22D of Android 2.2 appears to be only a variation of the original FRG22 build, which was spotted a couple of weeks ago.
Already, the official release notes for the Android 2.2 Build FRG22D can be found in the Motorola Droid Support Page on the Verizon Wireless website. We have posted a copy in the full post.
