LG has today confirmed that they will be offering a tablet running Google’s Android mobile operating system in the fourth quarter of this year. We first mentioned this so-called tablet at the start of July, and noted we’d update when we had more information.
Here we are. LG is stating the tablet will be a part of their very own Optimus Series of smartphone and tablet handhelds. That said, internal specifications are not expected until later this year. Additionally, we have no way to narrow down the “fourth quarter” time frame, but we would fully expect the company to launch the tablet prior to the Holiday season.
No word if this device will only be exclusively available in South Korea.
