If there was ever any doubt that Apple’s iPhone 4 launch would be a success, let the Cupertino-based company’s latest press release set you straight.
A three days after officially releasing the smartphone, the company has managed to sell a whopping 1.7 million units in that period of time, certainly making this launch quite impressive.
“This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history,” said Apple CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs. “Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”
Things haven’t been all well and good, however. Complaints of blotches screens, terrible signal reception, and non-working cameras have been floating on web forums almost incessantly.
