Apple finally announced today in a press release that its iPad will finally become available in internationally on May 28. To be more specific, the device will be released in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK on said date. As previously announced, Apple will begin taking online pre-orders for its iPad on May 10.
According to the Spanish [Google translation] and U.K. press releases, the device will be priced as follows:

- €679 — 64GB WiFi-only

The Cupertino-based company went to state that the next set of countries to receive the iPad will be Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, and Singapore in July. Apple plans to make an announcement at a later time regarding the launch in those countries.
