This year has seemingly been the year for all things 3D. From television sets, to gaming consoles, 3-dimensional is the new obsession. So it’s probably not too surprising to learn that Adobe’s Flash product wants a slice of the pie — and that’s exactly what they plan to do.
Adobe will reveal a version of Flash later this year which will support 3D, we’re learning. The information originates from a leaked presentation which should have been debuted at the Adobe Max conference in October. Furthermore, Adobe’s own Imbert Thibault [Flash Player product manager] confirmed the coming of 3D in a blog post.
“I tell you, some serious stuff is coming for 3D developers,” wrote Thibault.
As one would expect, details for now are mostly under wraps, but we wouldn’t be surprised to hear some tidbits of information leading up to the October presentation.
