Mozilla has finally put to rest the long wait of its users expecting a new version with the release of the Mozilla Firefox 3.5. In comparison to the 8 million users who d-loaded the Mozilla 3.0 in a similar duration, the response looks a tad slower, but even then it is a landmark of sorts.
As per Mozilla, the latest browser is safer, faster, smarter and better. It is 3 times faster than 3.0 and ten times faster than 2.0. As far as safety is concerned, this version comes with avant-garde phishing and anti-malware technologies. There is also a private browsing mode for privacy and a ‘forget the site’ mode which allows surfing without the need of saving the history.
The 3.5 Version has a whopping number of 6,000 add-on features and before you finish testing each of them, who knows, we might have a next version out by then. It is also credited with the privilege of being the first browser to support open video formats.
You would love the new tabs with the tear-off option giving you the ability to move the same tab to another browser instance. In case of a plug-in crash only the tab running the plug-in would crash while the browser would stay intact.
