Rumor has it that Microsoft will show off its first Windows 8 tablet designs sometime at the end of its fiscal year in June of this year, according to Silicon Alley Insider — who cites an unnamed source. The tipster indicates Microsoft will take a different approach when it comes to new Windows 8 slate devices, which will feature a revamped user interface [UI] that combines iPad-like elements with those of the iconic “Metro” interface on Windows Phone 7 smartphones.
