Courtesy of the brains at the XDA, Nexus S is no more the only device running on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. After porting it first to Nexus One, the latest release of the Android has now been ported to the Samsung Galaxy S in a very raw form. We are excited at this news and anticipate that there will soon be a more refined version with each of the functions fully operational. By the looks of the videos embedded below, Android 2.3 Gingerbread appears to be running smoothly on the Galaxy S.
As of this writing, however, Gingerbread on Galaxy S is not fully usable. Among some bugs present, Wi-Fi and network access are unavailable, though Simond claims to be working to clean things up.
