Apple’s App Store and the Android Market are seemingly not the only App Stores experiencing rapid growth. According to third-party Windows Phone 7 app monitoring group WP7applist, there are now over 4,000 applications available for downloading on the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace.
As of this writing, the WP7applist stats page notes that there are about 4,100 applications in the Marketplace. Twenty-nine percent of those applications are free, and seventy-one percent are paid, quite obviously.
At the current pace, it won’t be long before the application count on the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace exceeds ten thousand applications.
