Sony Ericsson announced today on the Sony Ericsson Product Blog that the Android 2.1 [Eclair] update for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 has begun rolling out gradually. According to the company, the update includes the same features as the Android 2.1 [Eclair] update for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and X10 Mini.
Unfortunately, the Android 2.1 [Eclair] update is being distributed based on the “SI-Numbers” on the back of Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 units. The company has posted a list of the SI-Numbers for which the update has become available. More SI-Numbers are expected soon.
