What could potentially be considered a huge surprise, Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system is shipping sans copy and paste functionality come November 8th. It’s certainly reminiscent of a certain other device that didn’t sport copy and pasting for a long, long while.
According to today’s live event, Windows Phone 7 users can expect to see a software update in early 2011 which will allow for copying and pasting.
No word at this point as to why there has been an omission, but it’s probably not the best of news for those hoping to be productive with their Windows Phone 7 device. What we’re likely dealing with is Microsoft’s best effort to get this device out before the Holiday season without having to delay the launch to add (in this case, convenient but not necessary) features.
