Last week, Sprint introduced the new Android 2.1 (Eclair)-powered Samsung Transform and Sanyo Zio at the 2010 CTIA Enterprise & Applications conference in San Francisco, California. Just as promised, both devices have become available on the Sprint network today.
As many of you might or might not know, the Samsung Transform is priced at $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year service agreement, while the Sanyo Zio is priced at just $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year service agreement.
The Samsung Transform and Sanyo Zio support the new Sprint ID service.
Additionally, the two devices are expected to be upgraded to Android 2.2 Froyo sometime in the future, which will bring new features such as the ability to create a wireless hotspot for up to 5 devices.
