Research In Motion (RIM) reportedly began rolling out version 3.2 of its BlackBerry Internet Service [BIS] in Europe, Middle East, and Africa EMEA over the weekend, according to several reports by BlackBerry Smartphone owners in those regions.
According to leaked release notes, the new BIS 3.2 is said to include the following features:
- Google Calendar sync
- Improved security
- Automatic Login improvements
- User interface updates
- Improved Windows Live Hotmail revalidation
- BlackBerry Protect integration for carrier administrators
It’s unknown when exactly BIS 3.2 will be made available in North America. However, the fact that RIM has begun pushing the service in the aforementioned regions indicates that it won’t belong before we see it here in the United States and Canada. Rumor has it that BIS 3.2 will be released in North American around October 16 of this year.
