Microsoft announced its newest mobile platform — Windows Phone 7 — back in February 15 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, everyone has been curiously and impatiently awaiting for more information about the new mobile operating system. Luckily, the day has finally come. Microsoft is set to officially unveil Windows Phone 7 today at 9:30 AM Eastern Time — 6:30 AM Pacific Time at an event in New York City, New York.
The company is expected to showcase Windows Phone 7 devices for both AT&T and T-Mobile. There’s rumors that the company might even reveal one or more tablets.
Unfortunately, it will be a month before individuals in the United States are able to get a Windows Phone 7 smartphone. Microsoft is said to make the Windows Phone 7 hardware available here in the U.S. on or around November 8. The platform along with hardware will make their big debut in the U.K. and other European countries on October 21.
