Microsoft will reportedly make an Office-related announcement on Tuesday, October 19 at 8:00 AM Pacific Time — 11:00 AM Easter Time. The information comes from an official statement by Microsoft sent out to members of the press on Friday.
It’s unclear what exactly Microsoft is planning to announce or even introduce that day. We do know is that Microsoft Office Division President Kurt DelBene and Microsoft Information Worker Product Management Group Senior Vice President Chris Capossela will make the announcement. In addition, some Microsoft partners are expected to be present as well.
Now, it’s very likely that Microsoft will announce its upcoming and highly anticipated Office for Mac 2011 suite of productivity — given that the product will be released the following Tuesday on October 26 of this year. In addition, there’s some wild rumor going around that Microsoft is planning to introduce a mobile version of its Office suite of productivity for iOS devices. That could be another probability, but it’s less likely in my opinion.
We definitely won’t have to wait a long time to find out. Be sure to stick around for more information on this. We’ll update on Tuesday as soon as Microsoft makes its Office-related announcement.
