Let’s face the facts: sharing something on Twitter isn’t exactly the quickest and simplest thing to do. Between copying a link, pasting it in a URL shortener, and copying it back into a Tweet — it’s simply too inconvenient.
Enter the “Tweet” button. Newly launched, the Tweet button will allow Twitter users to simply share a link via the page they’re currently on. According to the Twitter blog, “when you click on the Tweet Button, a Tweet box will appear — pre-populated with a shortened link that points to the item that you’re sharing.”
You’ll now be seeing the Tweet buttons on many of your favorite websites, which again, will make sharing that much easier.
Already, scores of high-profile websites have adopted the Tweet button, including CNN.com, Hulu, Ask.com, YouTube, and many, many more.
