Microsoft announced today on the Inside Windows Live blog that thanks to Exchange ActiveSync, Hotmail now supports push email, calendar, and even contacts. That means that from now on, it will be extremely easy and convenient to sync messages, contacts, and events with any iOS, Android, Windows Phone devices or any other platform in real-time.
Exchange ActiveSync for Hotmail currently works on mobile phones only. It will not work with web or desktop-based applications. More features will be added in the coming weeks and months based on users’ feedback. To learn how to set up Hotmail with Exchange ActiveSync, visit the Windows Live Solution Center page on Active Sync setup.
