According to a tweet sent out in Dutch this morning by HTC Europe spokesperson Mark Moons, the company will begin upgrading its devices to Android 2.2, commonly known as Froyo, as soon as tomorrow. Moons states that the HTC Desire will be the first device to receive some Froyo goodness, followed by other devices.
The tweet is roughly translated as:
“We start tomorrow with the upgrades to 2.2 for Android Desire, later devices.”
Unfortunately, we advise users not to get too excited. HTC has apparently stated that it’s possible that the Android 2.2 roll out will take place tomorrow. However, the company was keen to state that the software is not finalized yet, and that they’re still testing it.
Now is the time for you to pray to the Android gods.
