According to Apple’s latest privacy policy Apple is collecting information about the geographical location of iPhone, iPod and iPad and Mac systems.
As an example now it is the vital part of downloading through the iTunes while users want to grab any app or media file first they have to agree with the terms and conditions which let them to proceed for the process otherwise at the very initial they have to quit, and those iTunes download terms and conditions also grab the users’ information.
Apple said that the collected users information is anonymous and could not identified the individual users but according to analysts those clusters of data could be used for analysis of customers behavior patterns and their flow of interests for products etc.
The Location-Based Services policy states:
“To provide location-based services on Apple products, Apple and our partners and licensees may collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your Apple computer or device. This location data is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you and is used by Apple and our partners and licensees to provide and improve location-based products and services. For example, we may share geographic location with application providers when you opt in to their location services.”
