The tech world seemingly knows that Apple is hard at work at the next-generation iPhone [iPhone 4G], but evidence of actual hardware rarely gets out to the public, which is why we’re incredibly dubious about the supposed iPhone 4G LCD and digitizer assembly shown on video by YouTube user SmartPhoneMedic.
According to the YouTube video description, the part was obtained with the help of a “very reliable source,” who showed SmartPhoneMedia how to obtain the component.
Right off the bat, you will notice the display is narrower than the current iPhone 3GS display. With that said, the purported iPhone 4G display is longer from top to bottom. Looking closely, you’ll also see a tiny hole at the top of the display, which SmartPhoneMedic believes is for a front-facing camera, according to a comment.
