Windows Live Planet is a social network Microsoft India. The details about the site like when it is launched are not available at this time but Liveside readers spotted the site from MSN.
Most of the controls and features are fast. You can invite your friends from other social networks or directly email the invite. The website uses Windows Live Hotmail account, so you don’t have to create a new account.
You can connect to Window live Planet with your windows live ID or Hotmail ID. The site allows you to connect with friends instantly, find suitable match for you and what with your online live messenger buddies. Live Planet is integrated with Live messenger toolbar, you can chat using this with your live messenger friends.
You can import friends from other social networks including Facebook, My Space, LinkedIn, Hi5 and Tagged to your planet in live planet. Also you could search for friends using various criteria and add them to your network.
The social network is not only specific to India, you can register from anywhere. It is not clear when they launched it in India and couldn’t find any source related to that.
There is a feature called Scribble Pad which is very similar to Scrap book feature in Orkut (Orkut is very popular social network in India). You can scribble your friends and each scribble can be up to 150 characters in length.
