The Windows users will feel pleased to know that the ‘Family Pack’ clause which figured in the leaked license agreement wasn’t a facade to make the latest Microsoft OS popular. Microsoft Corp. has indeed confirmed a family pack for the ‘Home Premium’ edition that supports three installation runs on a single PC or a single installation on three PCs-depends on what you prefer.
Earlier in the month the Home Premium Edition was available in the US for a $49 price tag and the Ultimate Edition cost $99. The deal has been put to an end in the US. The Europeans are still enjoying a similar deal, however it has already been sold out at some places.
The Windows users have been expecting a ‘Family Pack’ for a long time and there have even been demands for a discount to move from the Windows Vista Ultimate to the Windows Seven Ultimate. The Corporation officials quip that the proposal is under consideration.
It will not be long before the pricing details of the ‘Family Pack’ for Windows Seven Home Premium go public. [via]
